I believe that literature and English provide skills for living a fulfilling and productive life. My love of literature has helped me become an accomplished trainer and educator. As a tutor and trainer I believe in bringing passion and patience to the table. I also understand that most people learn in a variety of ways -- seeing, hearing and doing. But, with kids, I know that learning can be accelerated by a teacher or tutor that cares and keeps things fun.

After graduating from the University of Illinois with a B.A. in Rhetoric & English, I gained a year and a half of experience in the field of Public Relations where I further refined my writing and editing skills. I spent two years as a long term substitute with Columbus City Schools. There I gained first hand experience in creating lesson plans, managing a classroom, creating effective assessments and dealing professionally and appropriately with students, parents and fellow faculty and staff.
