Knowledge and skills are most permanent when we discover and create for ourselves, so I like to be a guide that leads the student to their own conclusions, rather than take over and lecture. I will be there to direct and support the student; I like when the student works at the board or on the paper instead of me, so that they retain what is being taught. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a chemical engineer and I currently work for a biofuels plant. I consider myself as having a good way of presenting the science behind biodiesel to the other employees who do not have a scientific background. As such, I often have to create spreadsheets and conduct training sessions to explain the mathematics behind the process in layman’s terms. I have tutored students in chemistry, algebra, Latin and geometry.
