I have two younger brothers, ages 14 and 15, who I feel have made me that great tutor that I am today. I have had an interest in the sciences for the duration of my academic career. I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and recently completed my master's degree at the University of South Florida. I have been accepted to medical school and will start in the fall. I previously taught in Virginia, and I loved sharing my passion for science, math, and economics with students. Teaching is keeping your participants attention by interacting with them...you can't imagine the fun they can have and still learn. While in college, I tutored students in high school in lower level math and reading. I also taught swimming to high school students. During my tenure in industry, I was able to train less experienced employees in measuring tools and their use (calipers, Mics, feeler gauges, etc,) so that they might get a better position in the company and I received accolades from the home office for my efforts.

I obtained a bachelor of science in Biological Sciences, but I was determined to strive for the best, and also wanted to obtain a greater understanding of the subject. As a result, I return to school to complete my masters in Biomedical Sciences. Although, I have never formerly tutor for an instition, I have worked with pre-teens and teens as a mentor for over a year and a half for the Youth Development Network. As a mentor, working with children as always been a passion of mine. In my experience, I know that children learn at different speeds and in different ways. But also they tend to respond better academically when they have a tutor that they are able to relate to. I will do my best to relate to all students, and working closely with them to see how they learn best and in this way we both will be successful at what we came to do.
