As a graduate of an international Ivy League-equivalent, I have world and life experience--as well as a great education--that rivals many. I have a passion for writing and knowledge which translates to my ability to teach and share with people of all ages and all skill levels. I currently teach disabled children part-time at Fieldstone Farms Therapeutic Riding Center. I enjoy teaching and entertaining the kids. Basically, I want to make learning fun and I want to communicate with my students in a way that we both can connect and gain from the experience. My teaching style is extremely hands-on. I have found through my coaching and swim lesson experience that I relate well to kids and by approaching the situation in a fun and friendly way I believe I reach the children more effectively. I have been extremely successful in teaching swim lessons and have helped beginners to reach elite athlete status. I employ the same tactics in the classroom and was a very successful mentor to troubled kids through the Be a T.I.G.E.R! program at Clemson University. My enthusiasm and creativity in teaching tactics help me to make the children understand the subject. I obtained my BS in Business Management from Clemson University in August of 2009. I have experience working with learners of all ages. My earliest classroom experiences while studying at Kent State were with Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes, and I have substituted in classrooms all the way up through high school. I have worked with adults in a GED prep and ESL environment, and my certification/area of expertise is with adolescent and young adult learners. I always seek to individualize my instruction. No two learners are alike, and this often gets lost in a busy crowded classroom. I believe that the ability to tailor instruction to a student's individual needs is essential for academic success.
