I have always wanted to teach. When I was a child I would round up the kids in my neighborhood and make them do lessons that I created. I do remember they did not like that. I went to college and earned a BS in Biology always knowing that I would eventually teach the sciences. As an undergraduate, a professor in the Psychology department recruited me to be a teaching assistant in Statistics after she found me freely tutoring my classmates in the lobby (I'd also earned an A grade in her course). I was just a sophomore at the time, and was able to hone my tutoring skills over the next two years in both Statistics and Psychology.
