A Little Bit About Me...

I try to inspire my students with real life stories about France. Having spent several years there, I have had many cultural experiences that I bring into the classroom. Students enjoy hearing stories that they can relate to. It helps them appreciate the language and culture when they feel that they can identify with it from stories as opposed to reading a textbook.
I have taught French for over 3 yrs. During that time I would like to think that I made a difference in some students' lives. I started the French Club, French Honor Society, and the Big Bro/Sis-Lil Bro/Sis program. During my years teaching I taught many different levels of French from levels 1 through 4/5.

I like to use a lot of visual supports, use scenarios or puppet shows (for young children) to have interaction in the language. As a native speaker I easily improvise when the student(s) show a specific interest. The culture is also very important to have a better grasp of the language.
