Tutoring should be a tool used to complement traditional education. When tutoring there is little help in providing information to the student the same way that the teacher presents it. Tutors may also fall into the trap of simply giving the student the answers. For these reasons I prefer an holistic approach to tutoring. Every student is different and they all have different ways of understanding the material. As I am tutoring I keep in mind that I am also learning, keeping an open mind about the way a students is learning helps me to determine the best method of teaching the subject at hand.

Having completed my B.A. in Mathematics, with a minor in adolescent education, a Computer Science degree, and graduating with a 3.65 GPA, and a 4.0 in content has fueled my success. A Little Bit About Me...

Currently pursuing my second Bachelor's degree, I have been exposed to a wide variety of curriculum. I excel in teaching the required level of High School and College level mathematics and also have an aptitude for academic, technical, and narrative writing. I have tutored for the past year at the Center for Academic Support and Excellence at SUNY Cobleskill.
