Patience is one word to describe my teaching style. My main objective is to work with students on goal-setting and then concentrate on how to meet those goals. My teaching experience includes several semesters of substitute teaching, and tutoring locally for 2+ years as a part-time job, dirived from volunteering as a tutor for family members and friends. As a tutor, it is my job to help students with whatever it is they are struggling in and turn their struggles to successes. A composition requires the following: title, topic sentence, introductory paragraph, the body and the conclusion. The body requires smooth transitional leads in sentences from one paragraph to another. A composition can require several drafts and may require three days or more depending what grade the student is in. I have written many compositions some as many as 30 pages long and some on a single page. I was contracted with the Clark County School District to tutor students in the No Child Left Behind Program in January-May 2012.
