SPANISH TUTOR LOOKING FOR STUDENTS TO TEACH!! :)

I was born in Santiago, Chile and moved to the U.S. when I was 7...I have lived here in the United States for 13 years now and kept my Spanish. I completely fluent in both languages. I have taken Spanish classes to help better my writing and reading and it has made a big difference. I am ready to teach others the Spanish I know, its a great benefit to have! I am minoring in Spanish and I know I will use it in my career. I tested out of all the Spanish classes at the University that I attend.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate from UW- Madison in Elementary Education, I am passionate about teaching, learning, and the pursuit of excellence. I earned a 3.8 GPA from UW-Madison and gained great experience working with students of all ages and abilities. For example, I completed an internship at the Dane County Juvenile Detention Center where I provided tutoring and mentorship for a range of highly troubled students of various abilities, ages, ethnic backgrounds, languages, etc. I have spent the last academic year substitute teaching all ages and grade levels.

I like teaching through differentiation methods. I believe all children learn differently and teachers need to offer different options to facilitate those students' learning and enhance their multiple intelligences.
I was a volunteer to teach Religion in a At Risk school. Also since starting my program at Cardinal Stritch University, I've been placed in a couple of schools and have taught along with the regular teacher. I've always loved languages. In high school I started studying German, Spanish and French. At the university level, I continued with German and Spanish (majoring in both), and also took two semesters of Portuguese. I studied abroad twice, spending a year in Bonn, Germany, and a semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina. On the local level, I've tutored Spanish and conversational English. As someone who has spent a very significant amount of time in a foreign language classroom, I've become accustomed to seeing language from a variety of perspectives, which enables me to better assist students in their own studies.
