My future plans are to become a Health Care or a Biology teacher in the summer of 2010. I like to teach using everyday life experiences and things that are relative to the tutee. One can read MacBeth and other writers from the past and still be motivated to learn. I don't believe in memorization because that is not learning. I want the child to carry his newly learned knowledge well into his future and always have it available in the back of his mind. I am more capable as a teacher and mentor to students in middle school and high school. While I have a lot of experience with elementary students, I find my best impact on middle and high school students. I like to use the Socratic method in which I try to make the student answer there own question, by posing other logical questions in which they can deduce the resolution.
