A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently waiting for my certification from the Florida Department of Education, to teach math from grades 6 to 12, and chemistry from grades 6 to 12. I was a substitute teacher in the Folsom Cordova School District in California during the 2007-2008 school year. I am currently working a substitute teacher in the Flagler County, Florida School District. I have worked as an engineer for 3M, ITW, Medtronic, and Waste Management. I have two patents. The first is developing a bio-stable polyurethane that potentially be used as an implantable material. The second was a membrane that filters out radioactive ions out of waste streams. A Little Bit About Me...

I tutored in the learning center at Valencia community college for one year. Through this work and my education classes I have learned to work with each student as an individual, all students learn differently. I adapt my tutoring style to the student. I like to ask questions to lead them to an answer and use positive reinforcement as much as I can. I have two types of degrees, one in Physics and two in Engineering. That enabled me to teach a wide range of subjects. I was a very popular teacher in the four universities in Baghdad. Some of my students are now professors at the US universities.
