Many students struggle with relationships and well as their academics. I believe in creating a safe, nuturing environment were a student is able to work at his own pace, at his own level, and feel a bond with his teacher. Setting realistic and obtainable goals with the student is a key factor to success. Measuring and documenting progress allows student, teacher, and family to see a visual record of growth. Addressing multiple intelligences and multiple learning styles are essential for struggling students. Finding a student's best mode of learning increases self-esteem and time on task.

I have an associates degree and a bachelor's degree. My bachelor's degree is in Psychology with a minor in Social Science. I have worked for the Alabama public school system as a teacher's aide in special edcuation for the last seven years. I am currently working towards obtaining my master's degree in education.
