I believe in Minimalism. I tutor Math from the point of view that the shortest path is the best path but everyone learns differently and finding the right method for my students is one of my main goals when tutoring. I teach students multiple ways to solve a particular problems and they get to decide which method works best for them, hopefully its the simplest method. Public School class rooms have 30 plus students and only one instructor. The low instructor to student ratio makes it difficult for more then one method to be taught leaving some students behind. My comments on tutoring Logic : I am able to figure out Logic/Puzzle problems naturally, and is something that is basic for me to solve. I am a great problem solver in this subject. I use systems, clues, and strategy to answer logic questions.

My teaching style is multi-dimensional, and personally tailored to each specific student. Each student is unique and special. Everyone has a different learning style, which means each person has different need in terms of how they learn. I learn about each student, and take the time to figure out how they take in information. Also how they best understand their course material, and whether their learning style is Visual, Auditory, or Kinesthetic. Perhaps a person's learning style is a combination of these three things. When I teach, I use colors (pens/markers), diagrams, figures, counting figures(ex: colored counting bears), and a writing board to work out/solve math problems. During my undergraduate career at Sacramento State I was able to work as a tutor on campus for the learning skills department. This department offered courses in math and English for incoming students who were not prepared for college level mathematics. I worked as a teachers aid in class and as a tutor in the math department. I also tutored college and high school students outside of school from referrals.
