A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a senior Elementary Education major at Wichita State University. I graduated from Cowley County College with an Associates Degree in Elementary Education. I am currently a para for my second year and pre-student teaching.
I love teaching and working with children. My goal is to successfully help students learn in any way possible. I know every student learns differently and I am aware of the adaptations needed to fit each students individual needs. There are several different styles of teaching. I experienced hands on teaching through the lab courses that I taught. These experiences showed me how important hands on learning is to understanding difficult and complicated concepts. By seeing the information you are learning in a different way, you now have one more method of remembering that material. I believe that students learn best when they not only hear the information that they need to know but also know how to use and apply that information. That is why I have very hands on and demonstration oriented style of teaching. I am always patient and understanding and I love teaching.
