I have earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Materials Science Engineering. I have also taken courses in Graphic Communications. I enjoy teaching children of all ages. Learning can be fun as long as you can relate it to something that the child is interested in. I have been driven to excel in college and in my career in logistics. I've graduated from two of the top universities in the US, and retired from the USAF as a Major. I'm also a graduate of Air War College. I've traveled the world as an instructor navigator and defense contractor, learning about many cultures and religions. In addition to Spanish, I also speak Turkish. I also owned my own logistics services business, winning a contract with the USAF.
My technique in teaching navigation was to expose the student to the underlying physics of dead reaconing and celestial object movement. Then we would put the theory into practice in the air. I strove to always give positive feedback and encouragement.

A Little Bit About Me...

Although I have retired from teaching full-time, I still have a desire to help students to learn on a one-on-one basis. I have extensive academic and teaching experience. My ability to explain new concepts in ways that students can understand them is one of my strongest points.
After over 20 years of teaching, elementary (3), middle school (15) and adults (2), I have learned to use a variety of teaching techniques to assist students in understanding most science and social science concepts. I am a very passionate learner and teacher who cares that every student who wants to learn can have every opportunity to learn.
