Many years later after serving in the military and starting a family, I went back to school to receive a teaching certificate in the state of NC, after moving to Arkansas with my family, I converted it to an Arkansas license. In 2009, I returned to school again to fulfill a dream of completing a Master's degree. I have been working as a substitute teacher for 5 years and I have been tutoring for 2 years. Very comfortable working with large groups or individuals. I have like to use interaction and real-world examples to demonstrate the concepts of chemistry. I can drill students who are struggling or not comfortable with the rhythm of the classroom, or review with A.P. chemistry students before a test. I let the students drive the direction of a tutoring session when they are confident in core concepts.
