During high school, I tutored for the Upward Bound program. I tutored fellow high school students in math, science, english, and history. I taught biology undergraduate laboratories during graduate school. My background is math and science. I have experience preparing exams/quizzes and grading exams, quizzes, and research papers. When you work with a student and you can actually see the light bulb go off in their head- wow! In science and math the learner has to practice much like learning to play a musical instrument. It helps if you can bring real world applications into the classroom so it is meaningful to the students otherwise they feel like they are learning something just for the cause of learning.
