I believe in a constructivist approach to education. Stusents come with prior knowledge of topics. My goal is to get those students to connect prior knowledge with new information. I also believe that there are mltiple ways that students learn. They can have multiple intelligences in several areas, such as artistic, kinesthetic, or visual and spatial. I was Director of Education for two years and then served as Superintendent of Schools for two districts for a total of 15 years. During that time I never lost connection with teaching, mentoring students from all levels of education and continued to teach in the classroom at least once a week.
