Social Studies and Creative Writing (English)

I like to challenge people to think outside of the box. My comments on tutoring Poetry : I have already written hundreds of poem/ prose so I know how to incorporate the elements of poetry. Would have to talk to the individual to see what they wanted me to teach however to be able to tell if I would be the right teacher for the individual.

My comments on tutoring Poetry : I have experience in writing poetry, namely slam. I also have studied poetry in classes and on my own.

I work hands-on, using examples. However, I am readily able to adjust to new learning styles!
I have taken creative writing and journalism courses. I have experience in the journalism field, and won an award for one of my stories. I have also done much writing on my own, including writing a full-length novel (in the works of being edited with hopes of publication). For the past thirty years, I have used my BS from Bemidji State Univeristy and my Masters of Education from St. Mary's as a secondary English/Reading teacher. The predominance of my experience is in middle school, but I have many years in high school as well.
