Experienced tutor

I have done a lot of tutoring. I have tutored people for the past 4 years. I tutored a little boy with special needs and have taken a class back in high school called "peer tutoring". In this class I would go around and help students in the classes I was assigned to. I took this class for about two years.

A Little Bit About Me...

I went to University of South Carolina and I helped with some of the teachers with their tutoring sessions. I also helped with tutoring in high school. I have just recently moved to TN and I am looking for a fun and different kind of job where I am able to help people.
I love working with all children. Everyone learns different and there are different techniques that you can use for different kinds of children. The goal is for the child not to get frustrated and to enjoy learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently an undergraduate student studying communications. I have held four collegiate journalism internships, two of which were federal internships in Oak Ridge, Tenn. In the past year, I served as assistant managing editor of my collegiate newspaper, The Oracle; served as assistant editor of the collegiate yearbook, The Eagle; and I served as a teaching assistant for the freshman introduction to journalism course at TN Tech University. This semester, I will serve as managing editor for both The Oracle and The Eagle, and I will continue to aid in teaching UNIV 1020. I will graduate with a B.S. in Communications December 19, 2009.

I am a very motivated and high-achieving person. I recently earned a BA in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing a MS in Teacher Education while working as an intern in an elementary setting. I have an Interim Teacher License. Through my coursework in college, I have gained skills in several areas such as math, science, reading, writing, and psychology.
