I like to teach in whatever way best fits the students. I believe using many different methods is the best way to teach because it helps the student see the lesson in many different ways. Some lessons are best taught with hands on activities where the student can see what is happening and this tends to work best in math and science. In other areas such as reading and writing, using books and creative writing techniques can help strengthen the skills needed. Elementary Math is one of my top subjects!

I have just about ten years teaching grades pre-k through eight grade. I took the requirements to obtain a teaching minor and certification, except the student teaching and the test because I decided to switch gears and go to law school. I am experienced in both the Michigan Grade Level Expectations as well as the Michigan's Adaptation of the Common Core Curriculum.
