A Little Bit About Me...

At the elementary level I have 2 years experience as a K,1st and 2nd grade combined teacher, three years as a 1st grade teacher and 1 year as combined 1st and 2nd grade teacher. In the area of special education I have taught students from age 3 to 16 with Mental Disabilities for 8 years. Currently I am working as a substitute teacher for the Carlisle Community Schools and Des Moines Public Schools.
My teaching style is that I believe all students can learn but that there are different learning styles and we must match the correct learning style with the student. I am a very patient teacher who can really connect to students and their parents. I will do all that I can do to see your child grow academically.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a young R.O.T.C cadet, I was very driven to excel in my college education. On my way to becoming a young Army Officer, I earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Communications and BA in Accoutning. My liberal arts educations granted me opportunities to learn and excel in many arenas such as writing, math, science, and the social sciences. I learned the art of effective communication, writing extensive essays and reports, as well as giving many speeches to audiences of various sizes. I also feel very confident in my ability to relay material to others as I was a student ambassador for my college, helped R.O.T.C cadets excel in the classroom, and tutored before and during college. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently earned my bachelor's degree in English, from Iowa State University. I have always helped friends/peers with English courses, whether it be writing, editing, proofreading, etc. I have also helped many people with music, being a musician myself. I have studied musical theory and played several instruments since I was in elementary school. I would feel most comfortable tutoring in music and English subjects.
I love working with anyone who is willing to learn. It is a passion of mine to educate someone further on a certain subject, and to see them use what they've learned, not just for school but for situations outside of school as well.
