Early Childhood Education Major Experienced in Tutoring

I have experience in tutoring and small group instruction in elementary regular ed, inclusion, and special education classrooms (including speech). Throughout my undergraduate, I have had many hours of field in experience in 2nd grade regular ed and inclusion classrooms and elementary special ed and inclusion, including speech. I have lead small group instruction in varying subjects, assisted in reading and reading comprehension, test prep, and study skills.
I believe in structured education while leaving plenty of room to facilitate learning through creativity and exploration. I firmly believe in meeting a student where they are academically, socially, and emotionally by adjusting my teaching style to best fit their learning needs. Reading is the key to all doors.

My professional experience has expanded from Bookkeeper, Researcher, to Assistant Crew Leader for Census 2000. At home I have home schooled two daughters. I have helped two grandsons get ready for school and also prepare for their new school year during the summer break. From 2006 until June 30, 2012, I was a work at home professional in customer service and sales.
