I have earned a bachelors degree in Chemistry from East Tennessee State University. I have more than 100 hours of volunteer experience in all fields of area due to being in organizations like Alpha Phi Omega, Phi Sigma Pi and President's Pride throughout my college career. I believe I'm qualified to teach computers because I use it everyday and know basically most of all the Microsoft Office. I do have a preferred teaching style, but I will accommodate the student’s preferences. My preferred teaching style is to guide students, not lecture or do their homework for them. Your ability to learn material will be greatly increased by exposure to critical decision making steps as you work problems. I will guide students to these steps as efficiently as possible and wait for a rigorous effort from the student. This will result in either a correct approach or an inappropriate or incorrect approach. After that point I then congratulate the student for a correct answer, or thank them for their effort and try to break down the decision making process so that they can learn from the experience and gain a real understanding of the problem.
