I am currently an Avid Tutor for Springfield 186 School District in Springfield, Il.I am also Teacher Assistant and Special Education Attendant certified. I have also tutored at Lincoln Land Community College in the past. I also have done private tutoring for friends of our family and people that they know and have referred me. I have my Associates degree and am currently working towards my Bachelors degree in Secondary Education in Mathematics. I am open to different tutoring/teaching styles to accommodate different peoples individual needs and differences in learning style.I am very passionate about teaching/tutoring and enjoy helping others and seeing them understand a concept that before may have been trivial to them. I found working with young minds in different Early Childhood agencies is one reason for earning my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I then wanted to expand my enjoyment and empower others by obtaining my BSW. I have wanted to be a Social Work ever since high school. Even though, in the last few years I have not worked with the young population, I still enjoy all the things they can teach me. I try to understand the level of where the children are and build on that. I am patient, considerate, consistant, non-judgmental and feel it is not too early to start teaching or a child to learn. There is so much children can learn and we, as adults, can learn from them.

The process of learning has always facinated me. I believe that all individuals regardless of age are able to learn something new everyday. I also understand that each individual learns in a different manner from the next. My teaching style is structured so that I try to help each student learn in the way that they are comfortable and are able to understand the material. I believe that if a teacher is able to make the subject matter fun and relevant to the student's life, then that student will be able to not only grow personally, but be able to change the world around him. It is important to me that the student be able to understand the material in order that he be able to make a difference in this world.
