A Little Bit About Me...

While working as a private tutor, I was able to work one-on-one with an emotionally troubled teen, which helped me to learn that everyone learns at different speeds and in different ways. I was able to implement several learning strategies, until we found one that was most conducive to his learning. During my peer tutoring time at Brevard College, I had the opportunity to work with a handful of special needs students, including a form of autism. I loved the work I did as a private tutor, because I feel like you can get to know the student. I was able to encourage the teen to persue his interest in the theatrical arts.
