As a engineer I have been training operators in everything form SPC to troubleshooting for 30 years. I am a volunteer tutor for Adult ESL & GED for the Literacy Council of Williamson County since June 2009.
I have worked with adults. I prefer a one on one direct instruction and mentoring, keeping everything simple and fun. I am not sure how well I would be with children; I have none of my own and have not spent much time with my nephews and nieces. I enjoy explaining technical concepts to students. I quite like the challenge of logically explaining difficult science concepts to students. These smaller questions are the building blocks of knowledge a student will acquire in classes and it is the ability to put them all together in a coherent manner that allows them to solve the problems at hand. I am a firm believer in asking leading questions of students that may not directly pertain to the question being asked on an assignment, but will get them thinking in the correct manner such that the real question will be easy.
