My comments on tutoring ACT : I took the exam twice in high school and got a 25 on both occasions.

I don't any paid, professional tutoring experience. However, I have volunteered my services to family members and friends. During my sophomore year, I took Organic Chemistry and excelled. However, my friends were struggling. They hated me a bit for how easy it came to me. I decided to tutor them and help them with homework assignments and studying. They ended up doing very well on the exams, allowing them to secure a 3.0 or higher in the course. I also had to regular help my classmates out with more complex problems in Physics. I was not so much tutoring as working together with them on the homework, but still, it involved clear explanation and a thorough knowledge of the subject matter.

A Little Bit About Me...

Each larger question can subsequently be broken down into a set of smaller questions. These smaller questions are the building blocks of knowledge a student will acquire in classes and it is the ability to put them all together in a coherent manner that allows them to solve the problems at hand. I am a firm believer in asking leading questions of students that may not directly pertain to the question being asked on an assignment, but will get them thinking in the correct manner such that the real question will be easy. I use a lot of connection to the real world and a lot of analogy such that the students can get a handle on the subject matter and see parallels to every day life.
