As a student in a Multiple Subject teaching credential program, I have developed my passion for teaching into the skills necessary for encouraging student success. As a part of my program, I spent 300 hours in a K/1st grade combination class. In the classroom, I had many responsibilities including: assisting the students with their work; teaching language arts, social science, science and math lessons; and working with small groups of students to improve reading skills. I have a BS in general studies and very close to a BS in psychology, criminal justice, and English. I have taught at a college for 3 years, substituted for various school districts for 2, and I am currently finishing a full-time jr. High teaching position at Immanuel Christian School.
