My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : I have over 8 years of experience teaching elementary mathematics. Ninety percent of my stdents have passed the Texas mandated test.

I am a board certified Texas state teacher; and a certified tutor for the Literacy Council of Fortbend County. I am certified in the state of Texas to teach grades 1-8. I have over 20 years of teaching experience. Over the span of my teaching career, I have taught a variety of subjects. My teaching strength is in the areas of reading, mathematics and GED prep. I am skilled in American Sign Language. Teaching is my passion!

In having a science background, I have not only learned laboratory skills and reasoning skills, but I have learned how to increase efficiency, communicate in a clear manner, and write in a way that is direct and clear. I enjoy learning, and I instill that passion into my students as best I can. I grew up with a mom who is an English teacher, so I have developed good communication skills and writing skills from her. I have taught Biology for two years at the college level and I very much enjoy the experience of knowing that what you have been trying to convey to your students just hit home. That is a great feeling.
