I like to use the Socratic method, mainly by asking questions and challenging assumptions. In addition, I like to engage those I teach, challenging them to think about what they previously have not considered. I believe in building on successes, and offering constructive criticism, where appropriate. I have mentored various people since 2000, in all types of subjects, including math, science, social sciences, English, writing, literature, and other related subjects. My academic record is very strong, and I believe empowering those I work with every single time. The only pre-requisites are that you have to be willing to learn, and learn how to learn.

The teaching style that brings the best success I've found is centered on two points. First of all, it is based on listening, which means getting the student to talk. Eventually, with guidance, I aim to get them the ability to talk through and solve any problem. The second major technique I like to use is analogies. Even complicated subjects can be simplified into their core components which are easy to understand if taught as an analogy to something more familiar in daily life. Just as the Bible uses parables or employers use phrases from team sports to explain team roles, I find lots of success by using analogies. My specialty is reading, writing and research. I have a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, where I studied government, law and economics. I believe most students can learn or solve any problem by talking it through, which is often easier and more effe
