I have played piano for 23 years, and have instructed over 45 students over the course of 9 years, ranging from the ages of 4 to 68 years old. I am a visceral teacher. I like to use illustrations whenever possible, videos, photographs, drawings... I like making connections to things that may seem unrelated - I think this strengthens neuro-pathways and thought processes. I also think that laughter stimulates learning, so I like students to feel at ease - I will make myself look dumb if it will make someone laugh and relax. I graduated high school in 2013 with a 3.87 CGPA. I am currently a full-time student at University of Illinois Springfield. I have taken college algebra, trigonometry, statistics, and quantitative reasoning. My final grades were A, A, B+, and A, respectively. I have also taken English 101 and 102 and received an A in both classes. I am very skilled in math and English, and I am also a musician (guitar, piano, and vocals) with knowledge of music theory and history.
