Piano is one of my top subjects!

I teach classical piano, so my students work on scales, arpeggios and etudes to quickly enhance their technique. Their repertoire is varied, but always include piece by one of the greatest composers of the past (Bach, Mozart, Brahms, to mention only a few) and a piece by contemporary composer. The students also play light jazz and they enjoy it a lot.
Over 20 years of teaching experience as a school music teacher, private piano and theory instructor, and conductor for church and community choirs. I work to make every students meet her goals, thus, each lesson is designed to particular student. I accept students age of 5 up to 70. My comments on tutoring Piano : I have played piano for 23 years, and have instructed over 45 students over the course of 9 years, ranging from the ages of 4 to 68 years old.

I am a natural teacher - it's what I do when I'm not getting paid. I just like to share knowledge of what, why, when, where, and how. I like the process of learning, and it is a privilege to get to witness, or even positively influence, that process in someone else. I have been paid for my teaching skills for the past 9 years, in various settings, including piano instruction, guitar instruction, tutoring at the Community College in Chemistry, Biology, and Microbiology, as well as assist teaching for the Decatur Public School District. A Little Bit About Me...

After four years in university, I had travelled abroad, presented two recitals, accompanied numerous musicians, performed in 6 ensembles, been published, and received a Teaching Assistantship, along with receiving my Honors BA in German and Honors BM in Vocal Performance with a minor in Piano. I have extensive tutoring experience in Music, German, Writing Composition, and Public Speaking. My students have been honored state and nation-wide in music and speech. Currently, my interests have broadened into publications and I have a book on remixing education. I began working with children at the age of sixteen. I started my own business in Missouri, and am hoping to continue my work tutoring during my transition to Champaign/Urbana.
