Experienced Writing and Reading Comprehension Tutor

I served as a writing tutor to my peers while I was in college. I did this for three years and it seemed to help the students a great deal. This position was accompanied by training provided by one of my professors at Montreat College. The training lasted a full semester. My approach is multimodal as all students are different. The one consistent element is that of an active learning environment. Passive memorization and repetitive tasks are not part of my repertoire as both have usually been unsuccessfully attempted by those seeking tutoring.
