They were able to make up their own play at the end of the semester. Chinese Immersion teacher at Madison Elementary MN for three years I teach 4th grade at Madison elementary. I came from China to UofM to study psychology 6 years ago. Through years of studying and living in Minnesota, I established many close connections with local students and their families, and some of them became my lifelong friends. At the beginning of my journey, I experienced conflicts, cultural shocks even trepidation, but with all the help from my close American friends, I found myself assimilate to American culture more and able to perceive cultural, political issues from different perspective.
