I have approximately 15 years of experience in tutoring and teaching. My tutoring experience has included sociology, writing, and developmental education, while my teaching experience includes ESL, ELL, and sociology, including a wide range of specializations in sociology. Additionally, I have won an award for teaching public seminars for a Lifelong Learning program and an award for service to students. I decided to challenge myself the final year and study more science coursework than was needed for me to sufficiently graduate. I chose this major because I am fascinated by children, and how they all develop at their own individual rate. When I was in school, I could always understand or figure out what the teacher was trying to get across. Some students, however, didn’t always understand what was being explained. I was the kid who would rephrase the teacher’s remarks and explain it again in a way that the other students could understand. Not all students understand things in the same way.
