A Little Bit About Me...

I will be graduating high this coming summer of 2013. I have been in Ready, Set, Teach which is a program where we were sent out to an elementary school and was assigned a class and we taught a lesson. I have been teaching Sunday school every Sunday for the last couple of years. I had a teaching job at an after school program at an elementary were we taught a lesson, took the children to group activities, and gave them a snack.

A Little Bit About Me...

Through my teaching style I emphasize hands-on learning by using manipulatives. I also use modeling and repetition. I believe the best way to learn something is to practice doing it yourself over and over again using various methods. Practice makes permanent! My passion for education blossomed while volunteering as a tutor with Somali refugee children in Pittsburgh, PA during college. I worked with families in their homes to develop English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
