As a student at Florida State University, Panama City Campus, I have been learning how to educate and tutor children. I currently tutor two children at my local elementary school that are below level/struggling readers.I have been learning how to teach all five areas(reading, math, social studies, art, science, and language arts) that are part of a child's learning experience. My teaching style really depends on the person I am working with. People learn different ways. It is important to identify what works best for the person. For example, some people may learn through discussion, while others may need to see pictures or presentations of the subject matter. I like to identify how the person learns first through questions, or by testing them with a simple task first to identify the method which seems to work best for them. Once this has been identified, training can begin.
I have both a bachelors degree and masters degree in business administration/management. Both of these degrees have given me a high level of knowledge in many areas such as finance, accounting, math in general, writing, and presentations/projects.
