A Little Bit About Me...

Being a Chemistry major, I have exceptional knowledge in Science and Math. I have worked with children from Elementary to High School. I have tutored/taught highly intelligent children and some resource students. Working as a substitute teacher, I developed many techniques and strategies to get children to understand. While working at a Youth Development Center, I engaged with teenage girls whom were not interested in learning, but I was able to gain their attention and get them involved in the learning process. Many of these students, I helped prepare for the GED test, a test that I scored highly on myself.

I firmly believe that to be an effective teacher you need to make the subject interesting to the students. While teaching I think it is very important to provide examples as to why the subject matter is necessary for the students to learn.
