A Little Bit About Me...

I am a current international (korean), sophomore Economics major student at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I have taught students since I was in high school. I have several tutoring experiences from volunteering at Churches in the DC metropolitan area to private 1 on 1 tutoring. I enjoy teaching a lot, and I really love it when students come to me with happy faces after doing well on their tests. I am able to teach different subjects, but my strongest area is math, especially algebra. I also like to teach English (2310 on SAT - 730 Reading, 780 Writing, 800 Math). I look forward to meeting many students.
I like to teach students not only the material but also how to study in general. I am sure learning how to study will help students throughout their lives.

My ability to break things down to a level where students can understand more thoroughly has always been a string point for me. This coupled with my ability to develop a strong rapport with students has produced a positive result. I have large amounts of energy and enthusiasm that children gravitate to. On the recent term assessment for Charlottesville City Schools my children scored an 86% average. I personally believe the score is a result of my belief that high expectations coupled with strong relationships will result in success for all students by doing whatever it takes.

I have always loved working with kids and feeling like I am making a difference in someone’s life.
