I never realized exactly why people go into teaching until I gained first hand experience. Teaching is one of the most rewarding things one can do as a profession. When I first started lab instructing, I immediately fell in love with it and did it as long as the university allowed me. Teaching is something at which I feel I excel. I feel the best way to learn changes in each individual. Not just children, but adults as well. I seek out the best way for individuals to learn and go from there, whether that be through reading, interaction or visual stimuli. My teaching style varies depending on the type of students I am teaching to because I believe that each student has a particular learning style that they find easier. I think that it is important to find the types of learning that each student finds easiest to understand, and tailor the course so that it works well with their particular learning abilities. This can easily be done in a classroom setting as well as an individual basis. In either case, while I am teaching I think that it is important to understand the topic we are on before moving to the next one.
