I am graduating with my Bachelor's degree in Sociology at Tennessee Technological University of Cookeville, TN. I transferred from a 2 year community college in Harriman, TN known as Roane State Community College. Before starting college, I graduated from Rockwood High School in Rockwood, TN, where I never made lower than a B or a high C in some of my harder classes. I am a Senior-level professional with comprehensive experience in P&L, operations,technical.I have a Master's degree in Project Management and have learned many organizational, computer, and business skills. I have also taught Special Education in Elementary grade levels. I tutored 2 Engineers that did not speak English and taught them to read, write and speak fluently in 1 year. I also administered placement testing for Dr. Phillips Learning Center, as well as tutoring all grade levels in writing, reading comprehension, English, and language.

A Little Bit About Me...

Through my years in my last position I was able to witness firsthand how different teaching styles worked well for different children. The one common factor was that if I could make it fun and add an element of hands on type activities the lessons were retained better. I enjoyed the process of getting to know my students and finding what helped them to achieve success. As they gained this success in the classroom they also gained more confidence in themselves. I believe every child is capable of reaching their full potential when given the time and tools to do so.
Working in my last position I was able to participate in developing programs such as getting girls active to starting a Literacy Council.
