I am a recently retired teacher. I have taught at all levels preK through high school and with diverse populations, including overseas. I taught English for 40 years and am now recently retired. I taught English overseas while in the US Peace Corps, 1969-71. I taught English at MATC for two years. Most of my career was at the high school level teaching all types of classes, such as literature, Shakespeare, creative writing, reading, plays and drama, speech, etc. after retirement, I became a writing facilitator for elementary teachers. If I have an idea of what is expected of me then I am able to help modify the session to fit the learner. I like to use both direct teach as well as discussion to help guide the tutoring session.
