I make sure that when I teach, I prep each lesson for that individual person. No one learning plan can teach every single person, so I hand-tailor things for each student. I have been tutoring and teaching since my Sophomore year in high school. At that time I was teaching English as a second language to a few foreigners who were visiting my school. My main experience lies in working with elementary aged children in literacy and religious education programs. I taught recitation for Honors Differential Equations, Differential Equations, Calculus 3, Calculus 2 and Introduction to Computer Science as an undergraduate at Georgia Tech and physics and astronomy labs as a graduate student at the University of Tennessee. I was consistently rated highly as a teacher by students. I see teaching as a dialog between teacher and student and adjust the speed and depth of my teaching to best help the student succeed. I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I spent a year as a Substitute Teacher in Lincoln, NE. I then took a year and a half break from teaching to recruit for a small college. I went back into teaching as a grade 7-12 mathematics teacher. I was responsible for the 7th grade through pre-calculus courses at Wheatland Public Schools in Madrid Nebraska. This school was then combined into Grant Public Schools. I am also a strong technical trainer in my current role and provide necessary computer and analytical training to all new associates at the current company I work for. I teach to the student.
