Highly motivated, educated, and interested teacher will help

I have been teaching for over 17 years. Being very versatile, I have taught English, Ancient History, Medieval History, Computers, Art, and preschool. I started out teaching preschool and loved it. Then I went to a private Christian school (teaching completely for volunteer pay). From there, I decided that I love to help people learn. I went back to school. Students still will recognize me and I know that I made a difference in their life. It is a great reward to know that at that point in their life, I was supposed to be there.

I have always been driven to learn and pursue and education, this led me to completing my bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in history from UC- San Diego. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, I tutored in a math lab during the summer of my college years and later went into the Peace Corps in Zimbabwe to teach math and science to high school level students. After earning a BS in Statistics from UCSB, I worked as a substitute teacher for a year at a private school in Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara Christian School). Motivated by that positive experience, I obtained a teaching credential in Mathematics Secondary Education from UCSB, graduating as Student Teacher of the Year. I had the opportunity to teach High School in Oxnard and Middle School at Carpinteria Middle School, after receiving my credential.
