I'm Mason, I was born as completely deaf but I got an cochlear implants when I was 4. I learned English first then sign language as my second language. I'm good at helping people to learn sign language but just let you know that I learned English Sign Language but right now I'm ;earning ASL in college, ASL is my minor. ASL is so much easier for me cause ASL is almost similar to ESL but different grammar and also some different signs. I also want to become an ASL professor in future. So any questions for me, let me know. I don't bite LOL.
I would make it very simple like the way I learned in past. I would tell the words first then finger spelling then show how to sign the words slowly.

Experienced American Sign Language Tutor

I can also bring in guests to help with conversational sign language. And lastly, using your face and body in new ways to express what you are feeling.
I have 15+ years experience, as i was raised as a coda child in an all deaf family. I also have an extensive background in deaf culture, facial and body expressions, it is one of my most favorite part of the course to teach and learn. Sign Language is one of my top subjects! Currently, I am working as a community and educational interpreter. I completed an interpreter training program several years ago and have been signing for over 12 years.

Recently I have begun working as an American Sign Language instructor (adjunct professor) at a local community college and have been tutoring a variety of students outside of the classroom. In addition, I have been an interpreter for 5 years and have been signing for over 12 years. Originally, I learned ASL in Ohio and had to adjust to New Jersey regional signs. After deciding to become an interpreter, I attended classes at Union County College and Ocean County College. I am active in deaf coffee chats and meetups in northern and central New Jersey.
I am flexible. Sign language can only be learned through repetition and practice, so there will be a lot of voice-off communication exchanges. Being a CODA, child of deaf adults, has allowed me to be fluent in mine and my parent's native language of American Sign Language. Through my 13 years of professional work in the sign language field, I have tutored and taught sign language and have mainly worked as a sign language interpreter for the Deaf and hearing community. Currently and for all of my professional years of interpreting, I have worked in the educational setting interpreting for mainstreamed Deaf and hard of hearing students at both high school and college level. There are many things that I have to offer a student interested in learning sign, the language itself and also the culture associated with American Sign.
It is best to learn sign language in person. Signs are done from the hands and facial expressions and is best learned in person.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a long-standing practice of teaching of Russian non-Russian students. It should be noted that the Russian language - is my native language. I was born and raised in Central Asia, where they speak Russian zyke without accents. This speech became my speech. I also had a job as an editor and presenter of television broadcasts in Russian.
