I have always emphasized the immeasurable distinction between education and schooling. Although the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive, in our era they are more and more. I strive to draw a student into a fascination with learning. If that occurs, then education is a fait accompli.

Experienced tutor

I have done a lot of tutoring. I have tutored people for the past 4 years. I tutored a little boy with special needs and have taken a class back in high school called "peer tutoring". In this class I would go around and help students in the classes I was assigned to. I took this class for about two years.

Through encouragement and with a lot of creative hands on writing experience, I allow the pupil to make the mistakes they normally would and then through subject attention we progress through the necessary adjustments to form a writer who excels and enjoys the field.
Current college student at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Received 5s (the best score) on both AP writing assessments while in high school. Have never received a grade lower than an A in any writing related class during my academic career. I have a knack for teaching and I tutor my peers and friends in college writing courses. My comments on tutoring Poetry : 5 years of poetry experience, several pieces published over the past three years.

I prefer hands on, a back-and-forth style of learning where both I and the student have something to offer to the session. I like input from my students, and like including real world examples and application of the skills I'm teaching.
I've been involved in the arts since high school, and I graduated summa cum laude from one of the top arts colleges in the world, Savannah College of Art and Design. I earned a B.F.A in illustration, which I'm currently using to illustrate a series of graphic novels. I also have over 19 years of dance experience, had my poetry and short stories published numerous times, and enjoy working with others on things that we share a passion for.
