My comments on tutoring Logic : The subject or idea of "Logic" is interesting because it has no boundaries. Logic intrudes on every academic subject and forces us to follow it if we want to succeed both in those academic subjects and in life in general.

My approach to tutoring is not simply to regurgitate what the teacher has already said in the classroom. Students need to have tried to solve the problems on their own before I help them to get the most value from their experience with me. It does little good to the student for me to guide them entirely through each problem with out them first trying to figure it out on their own. First, this helps one to develop problem solving skills which is different from knowing the subject matter. Second, it allows me to adjust the problem solving techniques to that particular student.
While in graduate school at the University of Connecticut, I was a teaching assistant for a chemical engineering course on polymers as well as freshman chemistry.
