A Little Bit About Me...

I have previously, and am currently, tutoring a fourth grade student with his spelling and math. I graduated from Auburn High School with a 3.8 GPA. I have an ACT score of 30. I am a National Achievement Semifinalist because of my PSAT scores and am waiting to find out if my SAT scores were high enough to qualify as a finalist. I will be attending UAB in the Fall of 2013. I enjoy working with children because they are so optimistic and fun to teach.
I don't believe in one set teaching style. I think each student requires a personalized teaching style and I would try to accommodate each student personally.

I am a fall graduate from Troy University and will be graduating with honors. I am currently a peer tutor at Troy in biology and math (algebra). I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter.
