A Little Bit About Me...

I was a teaching assistant at North Georgia College and State University for three years. I assisted with laboratory sections of biology courses and taught them in the event of a professors absence. I provided department funded tutoring services during that time as well. I have taken the GRE and Biology Section of the GRE and received excellent scores on both tests in only one sitting. I have also coached 4H horse quiz bowl and horse judging teams for several years working with elementary and middle school age children.

I worked for the mathematics departments at my high school and university as an aid and as a tutor. As a result, I tutored many students in a variety of mathematics courses. I enjoy working one-on-one to help people understand a topic of which I am very passionate. I am currently working and saving money so that I can go on to get my masters in mathematics. While I attended Lee University, I was a teaching assistant for a year for a remedial college English class. I taught my own one-hour grammar labs twice a week, and I worked with students individually as well. I edited their papers and helped them with their grammar. My senior year I volunteered with a hispanic ESL class. I helped tutor the mothers in English. I am currently an online teaching assistant. I help the students with their written assignments, and I provide them with feedback so that they can improve. I love to tutor students in English and grammar. I am a post graduate in Mathematics. I have worked 2 years teaching High school Math in Beddingfield High School in Wilson NC, and one year teaching Math to high and middle schools in the same school system. In those school I used differentiated instruction for my students, like PPT, Accelerated math, C;assscapes,CPS, Etc. All my education is from India. I taught for 7 years in India before coming here. Real passion in teaching comes to me when I see my students succeed.

I have a great love of teaching and guiding young people in their academic studies. My approach to teaching or tutoring is open and involves as much personal encouragement as I can. I believe it is essential for the student to have a desire to learn in order for retainable education and it is essential for the teacher/tutor to encourage this desire as much as possible through teaching practices and activities.
I am a graduate of Bryan College with a degree in Music Education, having taken many education classes and completed a semester of student teaching at the elementary and high school level in Rhea County schools. My prior experience in teaching comes from over 5 years of teaching piano lessons to beginning through advanced students from age 4-adult. While at Bryan, I was a tutor for music theory students as well as assisted and edited English and literature papers and essays.
